The IDC MarketScape report stated that Huawei Cloud has established a robust cloud foundation to promote the development of real-time and logical data lakes and launched a full-stack digital core solution. Huawei Cloud also distilled their 30 years of ICT expertise into end-to-end professional services, covering cloud consulting, deployment, migration, use, and management. These services promote sustainable cloud evolution and operations for their government customers.

More Than 800 Government Cloud Projects

Huawei started to dive into the government cloud market in 2012. By now, they have conducted more than 800 government cloud projects, including:

·  More than 50 projects for national ministries such as State Information Center of China

·  More than 50 projects for provinces and municipalities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Jiangsu.

·  More than 700 projects for municipal and county-level governments (or government agencies) such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Changsha, and Xi'an

In Shanghai, Huawei joined hands with Shanghai Data Group Co., Ltd. to establish a trusted intelligent data development and operations platform, which was designed to provide data as a factor of production and unleash its value. The two parties will further enhance their partnership by integrating more tech advances like blockchain, privacy computing, and large AI models into the platform.

In Hubei, Huawei Cloud helped a financial customer establish a full-stack trusted cloud-native microservice architecture to accelerate digital transformation. The architecture enables mission-critical applications to handle massive concurrent requests with ease and promotes independent innovation.

In Xi'an, Huawei Cloud helped the government establish an integrated government data platform. The platform has aggregated 3.69 billion records into six basic databases and ten themed databases. It provides a robust data foundation for diverse applications.

In the Shenzhen Futian district, Huawei Cloud worked with the Government Services and Data Management Bureau to develop the intelligent government service assistant Xiaofu, which is powered by the Pangu Government Model. This intelligent assistant can understand query intentions and map them to pre-defined service items, so that the requested services can be provided quickly.

In the Guangzhou Baiyun district, Huawei Cloud worked with the Urban Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau to create the Pangu Government Model lab. In the lab, Pangu Natural Language Processing (NLP) Model analyzes government data in real time and quickly generates suggestions for decision-making.

In Chengdu, a Kunpeng-powered smart city cloud foundation has been created with independent innovation. The cloud foundation underpins mission-critical applications of all government agencies. This project has become a benchmark for secure, trusted city construction.

Better Intelligence for Diving into Cloud

Huawei Cloud has been leveraging their cloud native and distributed architectures to reinforce their digital foundation and spur innovation in cloud applications, with the aim of accelerating digital transformation of all domains in the government sector. Huawei Cloud's government cloud solution is based on Huawei Cloud Stack. The solution combines the advantages of both the public and hybrid clouds. It drives fast innovation, is secure and easy to control, and provides over 100 cloud services such as AI, big data, database, blockchain, and IoT services.

Huawei Cloud Stack has seen three types of enhancements, which makes it trusted by more government customers:

·  A more robust foundation for better resilience: Cloud-edge synergy has been further reinforced. More efficient synergy between diverse objects including applications, data, resources, and management systems has been enabled for easy application deployment across organizations at different levels in different regions. High availability has been enabled for the full stack from IaaS and PaaS to databases and AI-based applications. Intra-city active-active and remote disaster recovery can be achieved without application rearchitecting.

·  Greater innovation on cloud for intelligent upgrade: Key solutions, such as the CityCore, government model, and integrated government big data solutions, have operationalized AI for city governance and government services. Manual experience is transformed into industry intelligence to drive continuous iteration and optimization.

·  More scenario-specific solutions: Huawei Cloud Stack has launched a broad set of scenario-specific solutions for the government sector, such as the city digital twins, data factor, and integrated finance solutions and will continue to explore more useful solutions for new use cases.

Integrating Tech Innovation into More Government Use Cases

Huawei Cloud has partnered with government customers to dive into cloud. They have spurred innovation on cloud for key digitalization use cases of the government sector, including government big data, the data factor, and large models for city governance. Huawei Cloud, adhering to their "One City, One Cloud" strategy, provides secure, trusted, and durable cloud services for government customers. Using Huawei Cloud, government customers have made their government services more powerful and intelligent and have improved the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction of citizens and companies alike.

·  Integrated government big data

Fast-growing government data has been making data source governance more and more important. Huawei Cloud leveraged a leading lakehouse architecture to promote offline, real-time, and logical data analysis. Huawei Cloud also developed a data lifecycle management tool to comprehensively control security of data source governance.

·  Data factor

Government customers are seeking to unleash the value of data as a new production factor. Huawei Cloud uses their leading lakehouse architecture, proven privacy computing products, and comprehensive solution planning capabilities to provide fundamental support and security assurance for authorized operations of public data.

·  Government models

Huawei Cloud government models include NLP, CV, and multimodal models. They can be used to manage the full AI development process, cover almost all AI scenarios, and centrally manage different AI frameworks from multiple vendors. The models enable more efficient AI development for government operation and city governance.

·  Smart finance

Huawei Cloud provides integrated finance and financial big data solutions to help financial customers go all-in on cloud and create gPaaS and DaaS services. These solutions enable customers to improve agility, accelerate innovation, and unleash the value of their data.

·  Smart county governance

A single, unified cloud powered by a cloud-native, distributed architecture connects cloud resource pools and extends cloud services down to counties. It can centrally manage applications and O&M across different counties.

Moving forward, Huawei Cloud will continue to consolidate the latest cloud native technologies, Huawei's own digital transformation experience, and expertise from practices of global partners on the cloud with Everything as a Service. They will work in tandem with partners to provide more government-tailored solutions and services like consulting and application integration to help government customers dive into cloud and shape a better future for digital China and digital government.
