CTM Cloud 2.0 officially launched under the support of Huawei Cloud Stack Building a cloud foundation for Smart Macao and deepening industrial digitalization

[China, Macao, 10 May 2023] The BEYOND Expo 2023 organized by Macao Technology General Association is held in the Venetian Macao(China) Convention and Exhibition Centre. In the afternoon on the same day, CTM and Huawei Macao hosted a forum on “Building cloud foundation for Smart Macao and deepening industrial digitalization”, and jointly announced the official launch of CTM Cloud 2.0. Officiating guests included Vandy Poo, the CEO of CTM and Simon Wu, CTO of APAC Region from Huawei Cloud as well as over 100 leaders and experts in the ICT industry were present at the event.
CTM and Huawei Macao jointly announced the CTM Cloud 2.0
CTM Cloud is the only local cloud service provider in Macao(China). It is a localized cloud service platform based on Huawei Cloud Stack. The launch of the 2.0 version is yet another milestone in contributing to the building of digital Macao on the basis of the previous strategic cooperation between the two parties in 2021. In addition to expanding the storage capacity of cloud resources, a series of cutting-edge cloud service products will be introduced, such as GaussDB, KooMap and KooMessage, which will provide more innovative technologies and applications for Macao(China) government, the financial sector, smart tourism, smart transportation and other industries, accelerating the digital transformation of Macao enterprises.
Ebel Cham, Vice President of Commercial of CTM, said in a speech on "Cloud-Network Integration Towards a Win-Win Future", “We signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei Cloud at Beyond Expo 2021 and officially launched the cloud platform service with access to Huawei cloud technology, marking a new chapter in the development CTM cloud service as a multi-cloud platform. The multi-cloud CTM Cloud has received wide acclaim from government agencies, the banking sector and enterprises. Centered around cloud service, CTM has developed various smart applications, including Smart Expo, smart elderly care applications, a remote office collaboration platform, an e-SIM service management platform and a customer relationship management platform, enriching the local cloud application ecology.”

Ebel Cham also said, “I am honored to jointly announce the official launch of CTM Cloud 2.0 with Huawei at the same event and venue again. In the future, CTM willcontinue to actively expand its cloud service applications with an aim to provide more diverse cloud service and smart applications to different entities, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, so as to facilitate a society-wide smart transformation.”

CTM Cloud is a local cloud platform jointly built by CTM and Huawei, leveraging the unique strengths of each company which understand and serves the Macao(China) government and enterprises better.
CTM Cloud employs the Huawei Cloud Stack and is highly coordinated with the ICT hardware of Huawei that provides full stack cloud service products. The newly launched GaussDB database on Huawei Cloud has earned CC EAL4+ certification and enables safe cloud migration of enterprises’ core transaction data; KooMap, a cloud map on Huawei Cloud, empowers the tourism upgrading via technology by making use of industry-leading technologies in real-world 3D, spatial computing and AI scene understanding, so as to realize the integration between the physical and virtual world; KooMessage helps enterprises achieve more targeted digital marketing by ensuring information coverage in all scenarios and reaching all end users.
At the same time, Huawei Cloud will form collaborative teams with CTM to jointly sell, market, operate and build ecologies using top-notch technologies and services in order to support clients in cloud migration, employment, management and to ultimately attain commercial success.
