According to the China Software-Defined Compute Software Market Tracker, 2022 H2/2022 released by International Data Corporation (IDC), Huawei Cloud has ranked No. 1 in China's cloud container market, becoming the market leader for three consecutive years.

Huawei Cloud container products have been leading the industry with large scale, superlative scaling, and high security and reliability. Huawei Cloud provides container services covering engines, image repositories, orchestration, and networking. Customers can use Huawei Cloud containers to build microservice architectures, quickly deploy applications, and automate O&M. Huawei Cloud manages containers throughout the lifecycle, including creation, startup, shutdown, and destruction. It also manages container resources, networking, and storage to meet containerized application requirements in different scenarios. Huawei Cloud also takes measures to enhance container security and reliability, including container isolation, image signature, and network isolation. Users do not need to worry about the security and reliability of applications on the cloud.

Cloud native represented by containers is accelerating the digital transformation of businesses. As the key to cloud native, containerized applications had been adopted by more than 75% of enterprises worldwide by the end of 2022. Cloud native use cases are emerging in more and more scenarios, and cloud native applications are becoming distributed. We can hear the calls for collaborative governance across clouds and regions as well as other demands such as consistent experience. Huawei Cloud has been continuously innovating in distributed cloud native, implementing inclusive technologies, and leading the distributed cloud native industry. Since 2019, Huawei Cloud has been leading the cloud native application market, ranking No. 1 in the cloud native field.

Huawei Cloud is dedicated to promoting cloud native technologies and industry development, and is the only founding member of Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) from China. In terms of open source technologies, Huawei Cloud has been actively advancing cloud native. Huawei Cloud has released excellent open source cloud native projects, such as the cloud native edge computing project KubeEdge, batch computing project Volcano, and multi-cloud container orchestration project Karmada. All these projects have won recognition by the open source community. The Kuasar project was jointly initiated by Huawei Cloud, Agricultural Bank of China, and the openEuler, WasmEdge, and Quark Containers communities. Kuasar combines the technical expertise and production practices in container runtime with the cutting-edge technologies and insights of sandbox isolation acquired by the open source community. Kuasar provides enterprises and developers with detailed guidance for the cloud native adoption in real-world scenarios. With Kuasar, enterprises and developers can break the sandbox barriers in the cluster dimension and build a multi-sandbox container resource pool with convenient O&M, secure isolation, high efficiency, and low noise. Kuasar helps both individuals and organizations meet the requirements for container runtime in diverse cloud native scenarios. The project accelerates the maturity of cloud native technologies and popularizes cloud native in more industry scenarios and regions.

Huawei Cloud, CNCF, and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) jointly established Cloud Native Elite Club (CNEC), a global platform where the greatest minds discuss cloud native together. More than 300 cloud native experts across industries have joined CNEC to discuss the development and practices of the cloud native industry. Huawei Cloud adheres to technological innovation and invests intensively in the R&D of cloud native. Such R&D investment has translated into many powerful products and services, including Multi-Cloud Container Platform (MCP), all-flash Cloud Container Engine (CCE), CCE Turbo clusters, and Ubiquitous Cloud Native Service (UCS).

Huawei Cloud has ranked No. 1 in China's container software market for years. This showcases the leadership of Huawei Cloud in the cloud container field. Topping China's container market also means that the Cloud Native 2.0 concept proposed by Huawei Cloud and the related products and technologies have won recognition of the market.

With Cloud Native 2.0, organizations from the government service, finance, and manufacturing industries can think cloud native, act cloud native to reap the benefits of cloud native. CNEC is holding events in China, Thailand, Brazil, and Spain to promote technical exchanges of cloud native between enterprises worldwide.

Huawei Cloud believes that Cloud Native 2.0 takes intelligent upgrade to a new level. Cloud migration is shifting from On Cloud to In Cloud. The combination of new and existing capabilities ensures efficient use of resources, application agility, smart business, and security and trustworthiness for enterprises, enabling each enterprise to become a new cloud native.

Cloud Native 2.0 provides infrastructure and application enablement solutions for multiple industries, such as Internet (e-commerce, multimedia, gaming, socialization, and online education), finance (banking, securities, insurance, and consumer finance), large enterprises (automobile, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and transportation), and government (government cloud and smart city). This solution delivers all-domain, cost-effective, and flexible cloud infrastructure for customers to modernize their services, manage microservices, run big data/AI applications, and leverage edge computing for digital transformation. Top 3 enterprises from the socialization, e-commerce, media, finance, and automobile industries are using Huawei Cloud container products or solutions. Huawei Cloud is turbocharging industries with cloud native and containerization.
