IDC, a world-leading provider of IT market research and consulting services, recently released the China Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure 2023 Vendor Assessment report. The report provides a comprehensive assessment of the competitive fitness of 14 hybrid cloud solution providers. In this report, Huawei Cloud was named a "leader" and positioned ahead all other providers in terms of product capabilities and market share.
In today's digital area, many large organizations, such as government agencies, financial institutions, and state-owned enterprises, have chosen hybrid cloud solutions to accelerate digital transformation, as they want to innovate fast on a public cloud and control their applications more easily on a private cloud.
The IDC report stated that the hybrid cloud market in China is gaining momentum owing to increasing regulatory policies, diverse cloud needs, and technological development. At HUAWEI CONNECT 2023, in September of 2023, Huawei Cloud unveiled Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3. This brand-new version provides over 100 cloud services in 13 categories. No other vendor in the industry can provide such comprehensive services. Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3 also enhanced capabilities for the Pangu models, industrial Internet, data circulation, and software development pipeline. It is designed to provide a more intelligent cloud foundation for enterprises.
Huawei Cloud Stack's Over 5,200 Global Customers
Huawei Cloud Stack has provided a cloud foundation for the digital transformation of more than 5,200 customers around the world so far, including over 800 government cloud customers, over 300 financial institutions, more than 50 central state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and 70 Fortune 500 companies.
In the government sector, Huawei Cloud Stack has helped more than 50 government agencies in the Anhui province streamline over 4,400 objects and establish an integrated government big data system. Huawei Cloud Stack also helped Shanghai Data Group Co., Ltd. establish an intelligent data development and operations platform using privacy computing for market-based data allocation and monetization.
In the finance sector, Huawei Cloud Stack has provided a wide range of financial solutions, such as digital core, intelligent data lake, and full-stack cloud solutions. They have helped five state-owned banks, seven joint-stock commercial banks, and more than 300 global financial institutions accelerate digital transformation. Plus, Huawei Cloud Stack helped Huaxia Bank build application-centric cloud-native infrastructure, create a standard, open, comprehensive cloud-native application ecosystem, and deploy a single, unified cloud throughout the entire bank, so the bank could provide ubiquitous, diversified, and all-scenario financial services.
Huawei Cloud Stack also provides a digital foundation for more than 50 central SOEs and over 200 other SOEs, covering transportation, electric power, oil and gas, and manufacturing. With the help of Huawei Cloud Stack, Shandong Energy Group released the world's first commercial foundation model for mining. The China Three Gorges Corporation harnessed digital advances like cloud computing and big data, provided by Huawei Cloud Stack, to safeguard dam operations in real time and improve production efficiency.
